Weissman Law is a New York based media, art, and entertainment firm servicing clients worldwide.

We represent clients in commercial and digital media production, content creation and influencer spaces, photography, art and design, as well as independent film and other areas of traditional entertainment.

We also assist clients in the leisure and recreation industries with brand and intellectual property issues. We provide dedicated, personalized representation, with an emphasis on developing strong, long-term relationships with our clients.

As the boundaries between ‘traditional’ entertainment and newer areas of digital media continue to shrink, goalposts for artists, brands, and creators continue to shift. We’re here to help.

Some of Our Clients

Adam Weissman is a media & entertainment lawyer and the founder of Weissman Law.

His approach balances thorough knowledge of the law with a clear understanding of his clients’ needs and their industries.

Drawing insight from his past work as an associate in a litigation firm, fighting for his clients and resolving complex disputes, and ongoing creative pursuits, Adam focuses on figuring out practical solutions while never losing sight of the big picture.

A leading voice on social media law, having worked in it since the early days of the industry, Adam previously served as general counsel for Nylon through its transition from print to digital, as well as Socialyte, a digital marketing agency and pioneer in the influencer space. Adam is regularly asked to speak and teach on the topic.

Adam is a member of the New York City Bar Association Entertainment Law Committee and current Chair of the New York City Bar Association Small Law Firm Committee.

Outside of law, Adam is an avid cook and BBQ-enthusiast, musician, and part-time, award-winning documentary filmmaker.
